Location
This house is located in La Zubia, a small hamlet near to the River Benamargosa. The immediate area is always very green – even in the height of summer - thanks to the large plantations of citrus fruit and avocados. The houses are distributed around about the hamlet, and although there are no shops, there are daily deliveries of various necessities. The nearest shops are 5 kilometres away in Benamargosa – supermarkets, banks, schools and an open air swimming pool. The beaches at Torre del Mar are half an hour´s drive.
Property
The traditional fireplace in the hallThe property for sale is part of a larger building, set away from the street and with views over the river bed. Via a large tiled and covered terrace you enter the house directly into the sitting room, which has an open fireplace. The small kitchen is nicely tiled and set apart from the living space by a bamboo ceiling. The bathroom is accessed off the sitting room, as are one bedroom and a passageway. In the passageway is an old traditional stove. From here there is a staircase up to the first floor where there are two further bedrooms. The house has been renovated and the bathroom and kitchen are both brand new. Many of the typical old Andalucian touches have been retained as can be seen in the tiled floors and bamboo and beamed ceilings. The house has an aircondition with heating.
Remarks
BedroomThis would make a perfect holiday home, or even a permanent residence. Given the location of this small hamlet it would be easy to acquire an internet connection.
