This renovated cortijo (farmhouse) is located in the hills to the north of Málaga close to the nature reserve Montes de Málaga in the Axarquia. It is accessed by a good dirt track taking you through beautiful landscape with pine woods and farming land. At the cortijo you are really enjoying the best of both worlds; only 15 minutes from the centre of Malaga with all its shopping, culture and entertainment, as well as the popular beaches close to the city. The cortijo has been carefully renovated by the owners over a period of years and the result is a harmonic V-shaped building enclosing a big south facing terrace. The terrace has been designed as a barbecue area and a pergola covered with grapevines provides shelter from the sun. The interior has been kept in the idyllic style of an old farmhouses, conserving many of the details from the old building like a fireplace and built-in shelves. The cortijo has a kitchen, one sitting/dining-room, two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a library that could be used as a third bedroom. Also connected to the buildings are two big utility rooms of which one could be converted into a guestroom or a second bathroom. Even though the cortijo is semi-detached it is not overlooked by the neighbour and there are several possibilities for placing a pool with full privacy.

The land surrounding the farmhouse is partly irrigated with water from a private well and a small stream crossing the land. On the irrigated land there are a lot of fruit trees and in a vegetable garden behind the house potatoes and vegetables are grown. The “dry” land is planted with olive and almond trees.
