Location
The cortijo (old family farmhouse) is situated in an area called Pago de Mallarin between the valleys of Frigiliana and Torrox. It can be accessed by a dirt track coming off the road Frigiliana-Torrox or by a shorter track turning off the road to the deserted village of Acebuchal. From the Cortijo there are excellent views down through two fertile valleys to the Mediterranean.
Property
The cortijo is very old and has at some time been a single united building, later it has been split in two so that it is now semi-detached. The part being sold faces south-west and has a private terrace in front. Some years ago the owner started the renovation of the buildings but never finished the project. Maintaining the current distribution on the upper floor the cortijo has four rooms where the central room is the natural place for the kitchen/dining room. At ground floorlevel, with a separate entrance, there is a bathroom. In front there are two smaller ruins that could be rebuilt.
Remarks
The cortijo needs to be restored or rebuilt. Obtaining the necessary permits should not present any problem. There is no water or electricity connected but it is available on site.
