Idyllic farmhouse located in a green river valley

Location

This farmhouse is located in Llano Almendra, a small outlying hamlet belonging to Comares municipality. The hamlet lies on the river Las Cuevas which benefits the area in the height of summer, keeping it cooler and greener thanks to the many plantations of citrus and avocado trees. The front of the house looks out over these plantations, up and towards the hillsides by Comares. Shopping and restaurants/bars are located some 10km away in Benamargosa. The coast and the lively town of Torre del Mar are about a 45 minute drive.

Property

The living-room with traditional fireplace

The house is located on a gentle slope of about 1,200m². Via the main door you enter into an attractive sitting room with a decorated open fireplace. Next to the sitting room is the fully fitted kitchen, with dining area. Along a short corridor there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. The largest bedroom has an en-suite shower room and a door out to the garden. All bedrooms have wooden ceiling beams and terracotta floor tiles.

Land

The side of the house

Gardens have not yet been developed on the land. In front of the house there is an excavated terrace prepared for the building of a swimming pool (subject to the necessary planning permits).

Remarks

The fitted kitchen

This is a very attractive property which has many traditional details and a pretty location. The track is in good condition and passable with any vehicle. It would be ideal for those who like walking and the peace and quiet of the countryside.
